Linda Brown

Linda D. Brown, 49, of Shippensburg, died on the evening of Wednesday, January 16, 2013, at the M.S. Hershey Medical Center.

She was born on September 12, 1963, in Chambersburg, a daughter of the late Dale E. and Nancy J. Heefner Kendall, Sr.

Linda had worked as a Teacher’s Aide at the Shippensburg Head Start. She attended both the Green Village Church of God and the Cornerstone Chapel of Hope. Linda was one to always have her fingernails looking good and polished. She enjoyed traveling, especially to the beach.

She is survived by her three children, Shea, Carmen, and Matthew Johnson, all of Shippensburg; her brother, Dale E. (Joy) Kendall, Jr. of Newburg; her sister, Betty (Arthur) Martin of Newburg; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Van I. Brown, and the father of her children, Charles E. Johnson.

Linda’s memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Tuesday, January 22, 2013, at the Freedom in Christ Church, Chambersburg. Pastors John Pogue and Vilinda Custer will officiate. Interment will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery. Her viewing will be private.
