Linda G. Brandt, 73, of Shippensburg, passed away Monday, September 27, 2021 at UPMC Pinnacle Carlisle.
She was born Saturday, March 6, 1948 in Schaefferstown, PA. Linda was a daughter of Luella (Gibble) Groff of Lebanon and the late Clifford Groff.
Linda was a member of the Ridge Church of the Brethren, Shippensburg and the Cumberland County Society of Farm Women Group # 3. She worked on the family farm. Linda enjoyed gardening, sewing, cake decorating, reading the Bible, hiking and biking. She volunteered at church in many different ways, she was a deacon, Sunday School teacher, song leader, and choir director.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Mark E. Brandt; two sons, Randy M. (Amy) Brandt of Chambersburg and Jonathan S. (Melissa) Brandt of Mt. Holly Springs; one daughter, Sharon M. Brandt of Shippensburg; one grandson, Gabriel Brandt of Chambersburg; three step-grandchildren; four brothers, Ken Groff of Oregon, Mike Groff of Myerstown and Dan and Dave Groff of Lebanon; two sisters, Barbara Kelchner of Oley and Loretta Hunsicker of James Creek; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her father she was preceded in death by one brother, Alan Groff.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, October 9, 2021 at 11:30 a.m. in the Ridge Church of the Brethren. Officiating will be The Rev. Leon Davis. Burial in the Ridge Cemetery is private. A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the services in church.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Ridge Church of the Brethren, 1095 Ridge Road, Shippensburg, PA 17257.
