Lillian M. Kimpel, 95, of Shippensburg, died Saturday, December 14, 2013 in Forest Park Health Center & Rehabilitation in Carlisle.
Born Sunday, May 5, 1918 in Shippensburg, she was a daughter of the late Smith J. and Vera Alleman Wyrick.
Lillian was a member of the Our Lady of Visitation Catholic Church in Shippensburg. She was a graduate of the Shippensburg Area Senior High School with the class of 1936 and worked for several years as a seamstress in the Shippensburg area.
In later years, she loved going to flea markets and auctions buying collectables for re-sale
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Glen A. Kimpel who died February 8, 1989, one sister, Dorothy Morrison, six brothers, Gerald, Jackie, Frank, Roy, Robert and Wayne Wyrick.
Survivors include one daughter, Althea K. Miller and her husband Stephen of La Mesa, CA, two brothers, William Wyrick of Shippensburg, Galen Wyrick of Mohnton, one sister, Martha Geyer of Chambersburg and one granddaughter, Elizabeth Miller of Portland, OR.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 21, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral home Inc., with the Father David A. Hillier officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
