Lester Cline

Lester M. Cline, 69 of Shippensburg, died Thursday, June 17, 2010 in his home.

Born July 29, 1940 in Shippensburg, he was a son of the late Earl and Fannie Minnich Cline.

Lester was retired truck driver with over 50 years of combined employment from Gabler Trucking, Chambersburg and Super Value, Shiremanstown and a member of Teamsters Local # 992, Hagerstown. He was a member of Mt. Pleasant United Brethren Church, Chambersburg and their Christ Crusader Sunday school class. Lester was a committee member for Relay for Life and was a member of the Brave Hearts relay team. He was a 1957 graduate of Shippensburg High School and was an avid groundhog hunter.

He is survived by his wife, Doris J. Clendenning Cline, two sons; Richard E. Cline and his wife Lisa of Newburg, and Terry L. Cline and his wife Diane of St. Thomas, four grandchildren; David and Emily Hippensteel, Craig Cline, and Kaitlyne Parsons, three great grandchildren; Teena, Justin, and Teegan, two brothers; Morris and James Cline and a sister, Margaret Baker all of Shippensburg.

Memorial services will be held Sunday, July 11, 2010 in the Mt. Pleasant United Brethren Church, Chambersburg at 2:00 p.m. Officiating will be The Rev. Garry L. Culler, The Rev. Christopher T. Little, The Rev. James Brinson and The Rev. Timothy Vaughn. There will be no viewing, however a visitation will be held one hour prior to the services in church.
