Leroy Strohm

Leroy J. Strohm, 78, of Shippensburg, departed this life on the evening of Thursday, March 2, 2023, at WellSpan Chambersburg Hospital.

He was born on July 30, 1944, in Chambersburg, the son of the late John A. and Irene B. (Henry) Strohm.

Still working at the age of seventy-eight, Leroy farmed his entire life. He also had several local rental properties under the name of Gro-Mar Rentals. Leroy enjoyed working around his home and farm and enjoyed classic cars. He was a member of the Messiah United Methodist Church, Shippensburg.

Leroy is survived by his daughter, Stephanie L. Wenger and husband Chet of St. Thomas; daughter-in-law, Angela Strohm; five grandchildren, Richard Hershey, Christopher Strohm, Brooke Strohm, Dillon Wenger, and Johnathan Strohm; three great grandchildren; two sisters, Joyce E. Sheffield of Chambersburg and Joanne I. Dubbs and husband Larry of Shippensburg; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Stephen L. Strohm.

His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Thursday, March 9, 2023 at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg. Pastor Robert Hart will officiate. Interment will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery. Viewing will be one hour prior to the service on Thursday afternoon at the funeral home.
