Leroy W. Rosenberry, 81, of Shippensburg, passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2020 in the Shook Home.
He was born Friday, May 5, 1939 in Shippensburg, PA. Leroy was a son of the late Melvin S. and Anna E. (Clever) Rosenberry, Sr.
Leroy retired from the Letterkenny Army Depot, Chambersburg. He was a member of the Living Faith Chapel, Shippensburg. Leroy graduated in 1957 from the former Shippensburg High School. He was a member of the Shippensburg Jaycees and in 1960 was the Jaycee of the year. It was the love of his life when Leroy coached Shippensburg Little League.
He is survived by his wife, Mary E. (Ruth) Rosenberry; three sons, Gary W. Rosenberry and his wife Sherry of Shippensburg, Rory L. Rosenberry and his wife Susan of Newport and Chad L. Rosenberry and his wife Carole of Chambersburg; four grandchildren, Megan Shuman of Westminister, CA, Ryan Rosenberry of Kutztown, Derek Rosenberry and his wife Julia of Millerstown, and Caden Scott Rosenberry of Chambersburg; two great-grandchildren, Jaxon and Lola Shuman of Westminister, CA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Leroy was preceded in death by three brothers, Melvin S. Rosenberry, Jr., Harry W. Rosenberry and Earl D. Rosenberry; and two sisters, Helen C. Martin and Ruth E. Mellott.
A private memorial service was held in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium Remembrance Chapel with Pastor Galen Lehman officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery. A public memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, August 15, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. in the Living Faith Chapel with Pastors Eldon Martin & Ed Brant officiating.
