Leora J. Negley, 73,of 2416 Lindsay Lot Road, Shippensburg, surrounded by her loving family went to be with her Heavenly Father on Friday, May 14, 2010 in the Carlisle Regional Medical Center.
Born June 4, 1936 in Bedford Township, Bedford County, Pa, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Lula Stayer Lepley.
She retired June 8, 1999 from G.S. Electric, Carlisle, where she worked for 25 years. Earlier in her life she worked at the former Hoffman Mills, Shippensburg.
Leora was a member of the Shippensburg First Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and her pet dog Dreamer.
She was the widow of Deemer F. Negley, who died June 17, 1972.
Leora is survived by a daughter; Vickie L. Ocker and her husband Larry, of Shippensburg, two brothers; William Lepley, of Everett and Ralph Lepley, of Bedford, three sisters; Betty Reilly and Mary Peterson, both of Shippensburg, and Edna Leppert, of Hollidaysburg, two grandchildren; Marcus L. Ocker and his wife Stacie, of Amberson and Angela L. Glocke and her husband Michael, of Shippensburg, five great grandchildren; Annika, Lauren, Alec, Danielle, and Katelyn, and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers; Clyde and Elmer.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, May 20, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. in the Middle Spring Presbyterian Church, Shippensburg. The Revs. Daniel E. Cluck and Kimberley D. Wadlington will officiate. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be held Wednesday from 6 to 8 P.M. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Inc., Shippensburg.
