Leo M. Neil, Jr., 60, of Shippensburg, passed away Sunday, October 4, 2020 at the Chambersburg Hospital, surrounded by his loved ones.
He was born Thursday, January 21, 1960 in Chambersburg, a son of the late Leo M., Sr. and Vivian (Hulon) Neil. Lee was a graduate of Chambersburg Area Senior High School and married Susan L. Suders on February 16, 1979. She preceded him in death just five months ago, on May 1, 2020.
Lee worked as a heavy equipment operator at Valley Quarries in Chambersburg for thirty seven years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, spending time with family, friends, and his Chiweenie, Blue.
In addition to his parents and wife of forty-one years, Susan, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Summer; a grandson, Noah; and a sister, Roxy.
Lee is survived by two daughters, Amber Neil of Shippensburg and Danielle Swartz and her husband Raymond of Newburg; seven grandchildren, Sky, Nazareth, Dante, Hailee, Brooklyn, and Mason; one sister, Shawna Neil and her husband Patrick Collier of Shippensburg; brother in laws, William Suders and wife Candy of Chambersburg and Harry Suders, Jr. and partner, Rosie Olson of Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Private graveside services will be held on Monday, October 12, 2020 in the Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg. Pastor Philip Steele will officiate. Public viewing will be held on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg.
