Lena June Cramer, 89, of Shippensburg, passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at home.
She was born June 29, 1933 in Willow Hill, Franklin County, PA. Lena was a daughter of the late John A. and Sarah E. Wilson Beidel.
She was a longtime member of the Shippensburg Church of the Brethren. Lena worked for many years at the Beistel Company and beginning in 1969 she started farming with her husband. She was a member of the Farm Women’s Group and the Shippensburg Young Farmers.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Clarence E. Cramer who passed away April 30, 2017. They were married February 14, 1969 in their home. Her great granddaughter, Jazyln Odessa Wiser Thompson passed away at birth. Eight brothers and two sisters are also deceased.
Lena is survived by three sons, Terry (Shirley) Wiser of Shippensburg, Tracy (Pat) Wiser of Frederick, MD and Theodore (Ruth) Wiser of Shippensburg; four step children, Gary Cramer and his fiancé, Robin of Chambersburg, Steve (Sharon) Cramer of Fayetteville, Loretta Clugh of Newville, and Michael (Deborah) Cramer of Wenonah, NJ; two sisters-in-law, H. Louise Rosenberry, of Shippensburg and Evie Beidel of Shippensburg; 15 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great – grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday, December 9, 2022 at 11 a.m. in the Shippensburg Church of the Brethren. Officiating will be Pastor Wayne Hall and Pastor Harold Yeager. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery. A viewing will be held Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. in the church.
