Lee Mclean

Lee Duncan McLean, 66, of Shippensburg, PA, died on the morning of December 17, 2014, at his home.

He was born on February 27, 1948, in Washington, DC, a son of the late Albert and Betty Colbert McLean. Lee was a U.S. Army Ranger who served in the Vietnam War, enlisting on May 12, 1967 and honorably discharged on December 27, 1969.

Lee was presently employed at Shippen Cleaners, Shippensburg, and previously for ten years, worked along-side his wife at their dry cleaning business, Paul’s Custom Cleaners, in Hyattsville, MD. He was of the Baptist faith, a member of American Legion Post # 136, Greenbelt, MD, and loved to play golf and watch movies.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, whom he married on August 14, 1987, Teresa M. Wines McLean; his son, Akil Brock of Chambersburg; his daughter, Suzanne Murphy of Chambersburg; four grandchildren, Felicia and Christopher Murphy, Antonio Cheppelle, and Seth Allen; two great grandchildren, Gavin and Gracelynn Murphy; two god-children, Dylan and Paige Showalter; five siblings, Geri Smith, Susie Johnson, Elbert McLean, David McLean, and Tommy Lee McLean; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Lee was preceded in death by three siblings, Albert, Jr., Hattie, and Robert McLean.

His memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, January 2, 2014, at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Inc., Shippensburg. The Rev. Dr. Lois A. Waters will officiate, followed by military honors, conducted by the Shippensburg Area Veteran’s Council. Interment will be private. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Friday, at the funeral home.
