Lawrence E. “Butch” Rhinehart, Sr., 67, of Shippensburg, passed away the morning of Monday, February 6, 2023 at his home.
He was born on April 24, 1955 in Chambersburg, the son of the late Lawrence Lynn and Mary Jane (Johnson) Rhinehart.
Butch worked in food service for Shippensburg University. He enjoyed mowing the grass, working in his shed, and cooking on the grill. Butch also loved listening to tradio and took an interest in videography.
He is survived by his companion, Mary L. Rosenberry; four children, Lawrence E. (Angie) Rhinehart, Jr., Sherry Jo Rhinehart, John Rhinehart, and Jennifer Hendricks; one grandson, Daniel Hendricks; and one sister, Brenda Hartmire.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Bonnie Melius.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg. There will be no public viewing, visitation, or service at this time. A celebration of life will be held at a future date and time at the discretion of the family.
