Lawrence “Larry” Raymond Crusey, 65, of Shippensburg, passed away Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at home after a battle with Pancreatic Cancer.
He was born Tuesday, February 14, 1956 in Chambersburg, PA. Larry was the son of the late Lester Raymond and Catherine Ruth (Creamer) Crusey.
He was a life member of the Shippensburg Church of the Brethren where he was a Deacon, Financial Secretary, Sunday school teacher, Boys Brigade leader and an unofficial member of the Flower and Decorating Committee. Larry retired from Schreiber Foods, formerly Raskas Foods, on November 13, 2020 after 28 years of employment. He was a 1975 graduate of the Shippensburg Area Senior High School where he participated in football, wrestling and track. Larry earned an Associate’s Degree from Thompson Institute in 1977.
Larry is survived by his wife of 38 years, Carole E. (Jones) Crusey, whom he married April 16, 1983; one daughter April Renee Crusey Muhs and her husband Benjamin Ray; one son Wesley Lawrence Crusey; and two wonderful granddaughters, Sarah Elizabeth and Amelia Rose Muhs, all of Shippensburg.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, September 4, 2021 at 2 p.m. in the Shippensburg Church of the Brethren with Pastor Jonathan W. Bream officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the services in the church. Burial will be private.
