Laura E. Stine, 90, a resident of Chambers Pointe, formerly of Shippensburg, departed this life on the morning of Friday, February 3, 2023.
She was born on September 18, 1932, in Cleversburg, the daughter of the late Lloyd N. and Ada M. (Lynch) Stine.
Early in life, Laura worked as a seamstress at the former Harrisburg Children’s Dress Co., for twenty six years. After leaving the dress company, she found employment at the Dauphin County Nursing Home, from where she retired. Laura was a member of the First Assembly of God, Shippensburg.
At points in her life, Laura was a member of the Cleversburg Senior Center, the Golden Age Group, and the Breast Cancer Survivors Group. In her free time, she really enjoyed traveling, reading, and going to plays to see the different theatre groups at the Allenberry and Totem Pole Playhouses.
Laura is survived by two nieces, Jody A. Stine of and Lori A. Stine, both of Fayetteville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Lois (Porter) Stine.
Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, February 9, 2023, at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg. Pastor Timothy Beitzel will officiate. Interment will follow in the Cleversburg Cemetery. Viewing will be one hour prior to the service on Thursday morning at the funeral home.
