Larry David Short, Sr.

Larry David Short, Sr., 79, of Chambersburg, passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.

Born Friday, July 13, 1945 in Chambersburg, he was a son of the late Milton David and Mae Elizabeth Heckman Short.

Larry will be remembered fondly by those who loved and understood him. He led a solitary life by choice, but loved his family fiercely. He loved the freedom that was achieved by riding his bike all over the area, which he did daily, until he could no longer.

He fought his battle with cancer the only way he knew how, with grit and tenacity. Larry is greatly loved, and will never be forgotten.

Larry is survived by one son, Larry David Short, Jr.; one daughter, Pamela (Robert) Neidigh; three sisters, Connie Keith, Marion Kriner, and Faith Adams; two brothers, Roger Short and Brian Short; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Jean Updegraff; and one brother, Ronald Short.

A small memorial service will be held in the spring with close family to celebrate his life.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium Inc., Shippensburg, PA.
