Kristi Lynne Myers, 18, of Shippensburg, died on Tuesday, January 4, 2011, in Chambersburg.

Born on May 22, 1992, in Carlisle, she was the daughter of Daryl E. and Beverly A. Piper Myers.

Kristi was a 2010 graduate of the Shippensburg Area High School and attended the Franklin County Career and Technology Center, for cosmetology. She played minor girls softball and was also a cheerleader throughout most of her time in school. She enjoyed scrapbooking and spending time with her friends.

She is survived by her parents; her brother, Matthew J. Myers of Shippensburg; maternal grandparents, Mildred and Wilbur Piper, Jr., of Shippensburg; aunts and uncles, Effie Hershey and husband Jacob of Newburg, William F. Jones Jr. and wife Carmen of Shippensburg, Barbara Mowery and husband Darryl of Shippensburg and Rosalie Rinehart and husband Ronald of Newville; six cousins; and her boyfriend, Adam Hynes.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, William F. and Esther Jean Jones, Sr.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Monday, January 10, 2011 at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Inc., Shippensburg. The Rev. Donald Firestone will officiate. Interment will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday, from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kristi’s favorite charity, the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at 262 Danny Thomas Place Memphis, TN 38105.
