Kimberly Sue “Kimmy” Hancock, 47, of Shippensburg, died unexpectedly Monday, November 26, 2012 at her home.
Born Sunday, October 24, 1965 in Chambersburg, she was a daughter of the late William C. and Mary Louise Sharp Hancock.
Kimmy was a 1983 graduate of Shippensburg Senior High School. She was a member of Our Lady of the Visitation Catholic Church, Shippensburg. She was a member of the Oscar M. Hykes American Legion Post # 223 Ladies Auxiliary and the Durff-Kuhn VFW Post # 6168 Ladies Auxiliary both in Shippensburg. Kimmy loved to cook and enjoyed watching movies and spending time with her great nieces.
Surviving are her companion of five years, Kirk R. Long; one brother, Jay A. Booz and his wife Debra; two sisters, Cathy Marie Booz Porter and Patricia F. Booz McCoy and her husband Dennis all of Shippensburg; five nephews, one niece and five great nieces.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Earl Dewey “Cherry” Booz Jr.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 1, 2012 at 12:00 p.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home Inc., with the Rev. David A. Hillier officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. A viewing will be held Saturday, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service in the funeral home.
