Kimberly Marie “Kim” (Reed) Bard, 64, of Shippensburg, passed away the afternoon of Friday, June 21, 2024 at the WellSpan York Hospital.
She was born on April 2, 1960 in Chambersburg, a daughter of Brenda (Jones) Pellow and stepdaughter of Randall Pellow.
Kim was a 1978 graduate of the Shippensburg Senior High School and obtained her medical assistant associate degree from Central Penn College. She was also a life member of the Durff-Kuhn VFW Post #6168 and Oscar M. Hykes American Legion Post #223.
Kim was a passionate and devoted volunteer of Find Toby and Bring Home Athena. She was a nature enthusiast who enjoyed boating with her husband on Lake Raystown and going to the races. Kim was also an avid reader, had a love for music, especially Elvis Presley, and enjoyed crocheting and basket weaving.
In addition to her mother and stepfather, she is survived by her husband of 19 years, Richard E. “Rick” Bard; two children, Michael J. D’Ambrosio and Angela N. D’Ambrosio; and three brothers, Gregory B. Reed, Eric E. Reed and wife, Marlyn, and Jeremy S. Reed.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg. A celebration of life will start at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 14, 2024 at Shippensburg Township Park (Britton Park), 304 Britton Rd., Shippensburg, PA.
