Kenneth W. “Ken” Hall, 49, of Shippensburg, died in the early morning hours of Saturday, February 28, 2015, at the M.S. Hershey Medical Center.
He was born on March 25, 1965, in Chambersburg, a son of Donald E. and Loretta J. Sheaffer Hall. Ken married Ms. Lisa A Gsell on June 9, 1984, at the Mt. Bock Brethren in Christ Church, Shippensburg.
Ken was currently employed as a Franklin County Deputy Sheriff for the past twelve years, after attending the Penn State Justice and Safety Institute’s Basic Training Academy. Prior to his career in law enforcement, he drove truck for Giant Foods, the former Rosenberry Milk Haulers, and David H. Martin Excavating.
He was a member of the Shippensburg First Church of God and also served as a Deacon, Usher, and Sound Technician; the Fraternal Order of Police Tri-County Lodge #75; he currently and for many years previously, served on the Shippensburg Community Fair Dairy Committee; and in his free time Ken liked to go hunting and golfing, and spend time with his loving family.
In addition to his parents, Ken is survived by his wife of thirty years, Lisa; his son, Cassidy G. Hall; four daughters, Brandi H., Karisa N., Brianna M., and Ketura R. Hall; his twin brother, Roger E. (Lisa R.) Hall; two nephews; and his in-laws, Paul R. (Mary E.) Gsell, all of Shippensburg.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Chester F. (Ruth L.) Sheaffer and paternal grandparents, Elmer C. (Elsie M.) Hall.
Ken’s funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Tuesday, March 3, 2015, at the Shippensburg First Church of God. Pastor Brian Markle and Pastor Jim Rodgers will officiate. Interment will follow in the Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle. Viewing will be Monday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Inc., Shippensburg and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday, at the church.
