Kenneth D. Asper, 72, of Shippensburg, passed away on Thursday, August 27, 2015, at home with his family by his side.
He was born March 22, 1943 in Shippensburg. Kenneth was a son of the late Hugh H. and Frances L. Stoey Asper.
He was a dairy farmer earlier in life and then retired from the Shippensburg Borough. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed spending time with his Golden Retriever. He also enjoyed history, collecting all kinds of antiques including antique cars.
Kenneth is survived by his wife Bonnie L. Holtry Asper, one son, Gordon K. (Natalie S.) Asper of Shippensburg, two daughters, Martha E. (Wayne A.) Farner of Newburg, and Judy A. (Robert E.) Ezolt of State Line, seven grandchildren, Emily and Jennifer Farner, Zachary (Trista) Asper, Chelsea (Justin) Hammond, Josh (Erica) Trindel and Tyler and Cody Ezolt, four great grandchildren, Rylan, Isabel, Ava, and Jillian, and two brothers, Glenn S. Asper of Raystown, and Galen S. Asper of Shippensburg.
Funeral services will be privately held at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home in Shippensburg. Officiating will be The Rev. Philip Steele. Burial will be held in the Spring Hill Cemetery.
