Kenneth Lee "Chub" Alexander, Jr.

July 26, 1965 — August 24, 2024

Newburg

Kenneth Lee “Chub” Alexander, Jr., 59, of Shippensburg, departed this life with God, on the evening of Saturday, August 24, 2024, at the WellSpan Chambersburg Hospital, with his family at his side.

He was born on July 26, 1965, in Chambersburg, a son of the late Kenneth Lee Alexander, Sr. and Nancy Ann Alexander.

Kenny worked in construction for the majority of his life, most recently as a mason, for the Witmer Group of Mt. Joy, for the past fourteen years.

He loved all sports and was a huge fan of the late Dale Earnhart, the New York Yankees, and the Atlanta Falcons. Locally, Kenny was a well know supporter of all Shippensburg High School athletics, especially baseball. He could be found at almost every game. Kenny also enjoyed the outdoors; spotlighting and hunting deer, country music, and going to concerts. He was a longtime and well known member of the Sheetz morning coffee crew and the Greenvillage Drive-In breakfast group. It seemed that Kenny pretty much knew just about everyone around Shippensburg.

Kenny is survived by his son, Cole E. Alexander of Shippensburg; daughter, Lacey J. Alexander of Spring Run; a step-son, Jarrett S. Fessler of Shippensburg; two step-daughters, Taylor L. Moya of Shippensburg, and Hallee M. Fessler and fiance’ Justin T. Pyne of Newburg; ten grandchildren, Benson, Olivia, Tylen, Westin, Johanna, Ridge, Sarah, Lincoln, Oliver, and Rayna; three siblings, Bonnie S. Vaughn of Shippensburg, Sherry L. Weaver and husband Roger, Jr. of Shippensburg, and Jamie L. Alexander and wife Heather of Lock Haven; three step-siblings, Deborah J. Ott of St. Thomas, Rick Shank and wife Glenda of Newburg, and Stephanie S. Shaw of Shippensburg; numerous nieces and nephews; and many, many friends.

In addition to his parents, Kenny was preceded in death by his life partner, Angela L. Taylor; a sister, Marsha Ann Alexander; and a granddaughter, Joceslyn J. Yeagy.

His funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m., on Friday, August 30, 2024, at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg. Interment will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery. Viewing will be Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at the funeral home.
