Kay F. Carbaugh, 74 of Chambersburg, passed away Sunday, April 13, 2014 at her daughter’s home in New Cumberland surrounded by family and friends.
She was born August 13, 1939 in Shippensburg, PA. She was a daughter of the late Walter K. and Viola M. Thrush Nehf.
She was the owner and operator of the former Kay Carbaugh’s Beauty Salon in Chambersburg, and currently worked part time at New Life Thrift Shop in Chambersburg.
She is survived by three daughters, Kathy J. Decker (Russell) of Shippensburg, Ronda K. Dubbs (Mike) of New Cumberland and Kimberly A. Carbaugh of Chambersburg; one brother Donald Nehf of Chambersburg; five grandchildren, Jason D. Pensinger, Shannon M. Carbaugh, Jennifer D. Kennedy, Kristie N. Decker and Jaron R. Pensinger; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son Jimmy Lee Pensinger; one sister Doris J. Porreca; and two brothers Larry and David Nehf.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 19, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Shippensburg. Officiating will be the Rev. James O. Bolich. A viewing will be held Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. in the funeral home.
