Kathleen F. Washinger, 91, of Orrstown, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at Menno Haven in Chambersburg.
Born Saturday, December 4, 1926 in Berwick, IL, she was a daughter of the late George Clark and Frosie Amanda Livingston Rosenberry.
Kathleen was a member of the Orrstown United Brethren Church.
She retired in 1982 as supervisor from the U-Wanna-Wash Frock Clothing Factory. Kathleen later retired from L’Aglion Clothing Factory in 1992, worked as a seamstress out of her home for many years, and was also an Avon Lady for over twenty years.
Kathleen was known as Grandma by all the kids in Orrstown and will be sadly missed by all that knew her.
She is survived by one daughter, Frosie E. (husband Ralph) Doyle, McConnellsburg; one son, Larry Eugene (wife Lisa) Washinger, Orrstown; one sister, Carol Fox, Abingdon, IL, five grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Brown Washinger who died January 27, 1982; five sisters; and six brothers.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Tuesday, December 19, 2017, at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg. Chaplain Brenda Doyle will officiate. Interment will follow in Salem Cemetery. Viewing will be Monday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
