Katherine M. ‘Kate” Seibert, 91, a resident of the Orrstown Personal Care Home, died on the morning of Friday, June 20, 2014.
She was born on August 20, 1922, in Shippensburg, a daughter of the late Charles M. Wagner and Orpha A. Russell Wagner Jones. She attended the former Cherry Grove School.
Kate was a homemaker throughout her life and along with her late husband, operated a dairy farm. She was a dedicated and hard worker and enjoyed cooking.
She is survived by one sister, Betty J. Watson of Orrstown; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Kate was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Seibert, who died on February 16, 2006; one brother, Clyde R. Wagner; and two sisters, Annabelle R. Wagner Crider and Beryl A. Wagner VanScyoc.
Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on, Tuesday, June 24, 2014, at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Inc., Shippensburg. Pastor Danny Lemons will officiate. Interment will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery. Viewing will be one hour prior to the service on Tuesday, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Messiah United Methodist Church at 30 S. Penn St. Shippensburg, PA 17257 or Celtic Hospice at 150 Scharberry La. Mars, PA 16046.
