Karla Killian

Karla Jo Killian, 59, of Shippensburg, passed away Monday, April 29, 2024 at the Chambersburg Hospital.

Born Monday, June 1, 1964 in Chambersburg, she was a daughter of Alice M. Runshaw Stouffer of Shippensburg, and the late Richard E. Cover.

Karla was a 1982 graduate of the Shippensburg Area Senior High School. She retired in December of 2023 from the Cumberland County Courthouse, after 18 years of service.

She was a member of the former Mongul United Brethren Church and the Minnequa Social Club, both in Shippensburg.

Karla enjoyed reading and was an avid Baltimore Orioles fan. She loved and cherished her family, especially her granddaughters. She will be sadly missed by all that knew her.

She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Ricky L. Killian whom she married August 6, 1983; one daughter, Amanda Jo Killian; two granddaughters, Camdyn Paige and Kinsley Leeann, all of Shippensburg; five siblings, Randy L. (Donna) Cover, Kimberly A. (Art) Grandmaison, Ricky L. (Kristie) Cover, Ryan E. Cover, all of Shippensburg, and Sara C. (Jared) Phillippy, Chambersburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday, May 6, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium Inc., with The Rev. John W. Runshaw officiating. Burial will be in Mongul Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday, in the funeral home.
