Karen Elaine (Burkholder) Dangler, 52, of Orrstown, passed away the morning of Saturday, January 22, 2022 at her home with her loving family by her side.
She was born on Friday, January 9, 1970 in Chambersburg, a daughter of Clyde Miller and Lillian Louise (Smeltzer) Burkholder.
Karen worked as a payroll secretary at Flohr Pool, Inc. for 24 years. She enjoyed camping, cake decorating, and loved going to Southern Gospel concerts. She was also a member of the Rising Hope Church.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband of 30 years, Richard E. Dangler; two children, Bethany K. (Kurt) Eisele of Plantsville, CT and Trent E. Dangler of Fayetteville; two siblings, Barry L. Burkholder and Connie S. (Steve) Johnson, both of Chambersburg; one niece, Taylor Johnson of Chambersburg; one nephew, Toby Johnson of Chambersburg; and her grand-puppy, Cooper.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the Rising Hope Church (formally Mongul U.B.) with Pastor Brent Liechty officiating. Burial will follow in the Mongul Cemetery. A viewing will be held Wednesday evening at Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the services at the church on Thursday. Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, the family strongly encourages those in attendance to wear a face mask.
