June E. Kirby, 77, of Shippensburg, died Friday, April 6, 2012 in the Shippensburg Health Care Center.
Born July 2, 1934 in Shippensburg, she was a daughter of the late Benjamin F. Keck, Sr. and Ruth Keck Hauk of Shippensburg.
June worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse at various nursing homes and retired from Green Ridge Village in Newville. June was a member of Messiah United Methodist Church, Shippensburg. She loved and cherished her family and enjoyed the outdoors.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Alexander Williams and a son, Van Williams.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 34 years, Floyd D. Kirby, two daughters, Wendy S. Bayer of Chambersburg, and Kimberly R. Williams of Carlisle, one brother, Benjamin F. Keck and his wife Bonnie of Shippensburg, 13 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, two step daughters, Donna Sue Beatty of Dayton, OH and Debbie A. Bechtel and her husband Kirt of Mt. Airey, MD and one step son Ronald Kirby and his wife Danielle of Fairfield.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Shippensburg with the Rev. Paul K. Hauk officiating. Burial will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Ave., 7th FL. New York, NY 10001.
