June 23, 1914 — May 18, 2015

June J. Clapsaddle, 100, a resident of the Church of God Home in Carlisle, died Monday, May 18, 2015 in the home.

She was born June 23, 1914 in McConnellsburg, Fulton County. June was a daughter of the late Grant and Florence Oakman Fix.

June was a member of the Mechanicsburg First Church of God and years ago she taught youth Sunday school.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred E. Clapsaddle, Sr. Thirteen brothers and sisters are also deceased.

June is survived by five children, Betty C. (her husband Harry) Eckels of Hummelstown, Tommy E. (his wife Virginia) Clapsaddle of Port Orange, FL, Nancy A. (her husband Edward) Rife of Chambersburg, Kay C. (her husband Jeffrey) Whitman of Boiling Springs, and Fred E. (his wife Vicki) Clapsaddle, Jr. of Shippensburg, 19 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 22, 2015 in the Chapel at the Church of God Home in Carlisle at 11 a.m. Officiating will be Chaplin Bradley V. Moore. Burial will be held in the Norland Cemetery, Chambersburg. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the services in the chapel at the home.
