Julia Mae Busey, 92, of Shippensburg and formerly of Walnut Bottom, died Sunday, September 14, 2014 in the Chambersburg Hospital.
Born Monday, June 19, 1922 in Southampton Township, Franklin County, she was a daughter of the late Harry F. and Mae Hammond VanScyoc.
Julia retired as a meat processor and wrapper from Giant Foods in Chambersburg. She was a member of Messiah United Methodist Church and Cumberland Valley Hose Company # 2 both in Shippensburg and South Newton Township Volunteer Fire Company in Walnut Bottom.
Surviving is one son, Melvin “Gene” Rosenberry and his wife Bette of Shippensburg, two grandchildren, Donald E. Wyrick and his wife Janet of Dillsburg and Kathy E. Nezat and her husband Gregory, five great grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren, three step grandchildren and four step great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herman A. Busey who died March 5, 2006, one son, Larry James Rosenberry who died March 11, 1947, two brothers and four sisters.
Funeral services will be held Friday, September 19, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home Inc., with the Rev. Dr. Francis H. Norton officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. A viewing will be held Thursday, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
