Judy Hewitt

Judy Ann Hewett, 69, of Shippensburg, departed this life on the afternoon of Wednesday, March 23, 2016.

She was born on December 18, 1946, a daughter of the late Donald and Violet Coy Clough, and married Edward M. Hewett on June 6, 1998, at the First Wesleyan Church of Shippensburg.

Judy was employed as a seamstress at the former Stanley Company, Chambersburg, for thirty-two years. She was a member of the Prince Street United Brethren Church, Shippensburg. Judy was an outgoing people person who loved going to the beach, having and going to yard sales, and sending greeting cards.

She is survived by her husband of 17 years, Edward; two sisters, Doris Nehf and Mary Jane (Paul) Ile, both of Shippensburg; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by one sister, Margaret Beadle and one nephew, Michael Nehf.

Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, March 30, 2016, at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Inc., Shippensburg. The Rev. James O. Bolich will officiate. Interment in the Mongul Cemetery will be private. Viewing will be Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
