Jose Luis Figueroa, 58, of Shippensburg, passed away Monday, February 27, 2017 at the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center.
Born Sunday, February 22, 1959 in Bronx, NY, he was a son of the late Jose D. Figueroa and Luz Maria Acevedo Figueroa of Miami, FL.
Jose was of the Catholic Faith. He was a 1977 graduate of James Monroe High School in New York. He retired from Standard & Poors in New York City where he worked in the printing department, and later worked for Allen Distributions in Carlisle.
Jose enjoyed working on his cars and hiking, and devoted his whole life to his family.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Arlene Almodovar Figueroa, two daughters, Jeannie M. (husband Steve) Hackl, and Michaela N. Figueroa, two sons, Jose Luis and Daniel G. Figueroa, two grandsons, Collin A. and Eli P. Hackl, all of Shippensburg and one granddaughter, Mackenzie Crane of Edwardsville, two sisters, Edna Klauder, Luz Maldonado, and one brother, Michael Figueroa, all of Miami, FL.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, George Luis Figueroa.
Funeral services and burial will be private.
