John E. Watson, 56, of Santee, CA and formerly of Shippensburg, died Saturday, November 3, 2012 at home.
Born November 9, 1955 in Chambersburg, he was a son of Helen M. Witter Watson, of Shippensburg and the late John E. Watson.
He was employed by General Atomics Aeronautical, Poway, CA.
He was a graduate of Cuyamaca College, San Diego, CA and a 1973 graduate of Shippensburg High School.
John was a United States Air Force veteran.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife Susan Lim Witter, one daughter; Lisa Watson, of Santee, CA, two brothers; Timothy S. Watson, of Pittsburgh and Michael A. Watson, of Shippensburg; one sister, Deborah E. Hile, of Chambersburg, and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his first wife; Carol Sue Gallo Watson.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, November 17, 2012 at Messiah United Methodist Church. The Revs. Kevin Hughes and Jim Weibley will officiate. A reception will be held in the church’s Fellowship Hall following the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Messiah United Methodist Church, 30 S Penn Street, Shippensburg, PA 17257.
