John B. Sigman, 70, of Newburg, died Thursday, October 27, 2016 in the Hershey Medical Center.
He was born November 2, 1945 in Lancaster, PA. John was a son of the late John and Mildred Brubaker Sigman.
He was currently employed by Cumberland Tool & Die Inc., Mechanicsburg. John was a member of Hopewell United Methodist Church, Newburg and was a Chairperson of the Leadership Committee. He was an active member of Neighbors in Christ, Newville, served as a Certified Lay Speaker of the United Methodist Church and active in the Emmaus Community. John was a Life Member of NRA and a member of LSL Sportsman’s Club, Orrstown.
John was a Lord loving, hardworking, gentle loving man who was adored by all.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Darlene D. Davis Sigman, three daughters, Robin M. (Robert) Terry of Morehead City, NC, Penny A. (Chris) Rice of Roseburg, OR, and Laura L. Fry of Enola, one sister, Shirley Charles of Roherstown, six grandchildren and three great grandchildren and their families, and his favorite dog, Priscilla.
A celebration of life will be held Sunday, October 30, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. in the Hopewell United Methodist Church, Newburg. Officiating will be Pastor Jane Keller Rosborough and The Rev. John A. Ile, Jr. Burial will be private. There will be no visitation prior to the services, however a reception will follow the celebration of life.
