John Pattison

John W. Pattison, 79, of Walnut Bottom, died on Saturday December 3, 2011 in the Chambersburg Hospital.
Born on January 10, 1932, in Roxbury, he was the son of the late William M. and Lillie E. Newman Pattison.
John was a 1950 graduate of Shippensburg Area School District and was a member of the Hub City Social Club, Shippensburg. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Winnefred M. Matthews Pattison of Walnut Bottom; two sons, Stephen M. (Linda) Pattison and Michael L. (Deborah) Pattison, all of Shippensburg; three daughters, Stephanie I. Keifer of Carlisle, Denise D. (Jeff) Freze of Newville, and Kimberly K. Stitt of Carlisle; ten grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; a sister Joyce Flohr of N. Fort Myers, FL; and an aunt Annie Pattison of Shippensburg.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Jeremy R. Keifer who died in May of 2007.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 7, 2011, in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Shippensburg. The Rev. Leroy Flohr will officiate. Interment will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Red Cross of Cumberland County, 79 E. Pomfret Street, Carlisle, PA 17013.
