John H. Guyer, Jr., 90 of Newburg, passed away Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at Menno Haven, Chambersburg.
He was born Tuesday, October 23, 1928 in Lurgan Township, Franklin County. John was a son of the late John H., Sr. and Mary E. Stake Guyer.
He was a retired Dairy Farmer and was a United States Army Veteran. John was a member of Hopewell United Methodist Church, Newburg
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Vera M. Imes Guyer who passed away August 9, 2004. Three brothers and four sisters are also deceased.
John is survived by one daughter, Cindy L. Anderson of Newburg, two granddaughters, Amie L. Anderson of Waynesboro and Alaina L. Wheelis and her husband Joe of Newburg and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday, August 12, 2019 at 11 a.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Shippensburg. Officiating will be The Rev. Dr. Brand Eaton. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the services in the funeral home.
