John Forrester

John W. Forrester, 93, of Shippensburg, died Monday, October 6, 2014 at home surrounded by his loving family.

Born May 29, 1921 in Letterkenny Township, John was a son of the late John H. and Mary A. Reitz Forrester.
John was a member of the Mongul United Brethren Church and a retired Dairy Farmer.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred V. “Mid” Leedy Forrester who died June 13, 2010. A son, John J. Forrester, one brother, and two sisters are also deceased.

John is survived by two sons, Charlie (Kathy) Forrester, and Danny G. (Linda) Forrester both of Shippensburg, two daughters, Jean M. (Laban) Wingert of Mercersburg, and Betty M. (Gerald) Martin of Shippensburg, a sister, Mary Friese of Shippensburg, 13 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday, October 10, 2014 in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Shippensburg at 10 a.m. Officiating will be The Rev. Richard E. Mose, and The Rev. Rocky W. Spear. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery. A viewing will be held Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. in the funeral home.
