John E. Foltz, 72, of Newburg, died on the afternoon of Friday, October 25, 2013, at the Sarah Todd Memorial Home, Carlisle.
He was born on January 5, 1941, in Chambersburg, the son of the late Merle E. “Pappy” Foltz and Louise H. Griffith Foltz Shoap. John was veteran of the United States Marine Corp.
John retired from the Shippensburg Area School district, where he worked as a Custodian. He attended the Newburg First Church of God and was a member of the Oscar M. Hykes American Legion Post #223, the Hub City Club, the Minnequa Social Club, the Yellow Breaches Anglers Association, and the Walnut Bottom Rod & Gun Club.
His funeral services, entrusted to the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Inc., Shippensburg, will be private.
