John William Dull, 69, of Shippensburg, passed away Thursday, December 7, 2017 at the Chambersburg Hospital.
Born April 8, 1948 in Tiffin, Ohio to the late Donald Eugene and Madeline Pauline Berlin Dull.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Nancy Ann Davidson Dull whom he married May 29, 1971 in Tiffin, OH; one son, Kevin E. Dull; one daughter, Charlotte A. (husband Russell) Klingshirn, all of Shippensburg; two grandsons; Stephen J. Little, serving in the U.S. Army, and Matthew A. Klingshirn, Shippensburg; three brothers, Robert, (wife Doris), Ronald, and Donald Dull; six sisters, Dorie Bour, Sandra (husband Richard) Sendelbach, Rose Sendelbach, Phyllis Capucini, Patricia Dull, and Karen West, all of Tiffin, OH, area.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Matthew William Dull, one brother, Daryl Dull, and three sisters, Rita Shock, Fay Iannantuono, and Betsy Combs.
John served in the U.S. Army from 1968-1969 in Vietnam, Okinawa and Korea and served in the Army Reserves Unit of Tiffin Ohio for 13 years.
He was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, Walnut Bottom.
John was employed at Webster Manufacturing for 30 years and moved to Shippensburg in 2005 where he became a member of the of the Oscar M. Hykes American Legion Post # 223, Life member of the Durff-Kuhn VFW Post # 6168, Minnequa Social Club # 275, and the Loyal Order of Moose # 2500, all in Shippensburg, he was a Life member of the Disabled American Veterans of Chambersburg.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Trinity United Methodist Church with the Rev. Harold A. Bolyard, Jr. officiating. Burial will be private. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the United Cerebral Palsy, 550 Cleveland Ave. # 209, Chambersburg, PA 17201 or to the Trinity United Methodist Church, 118 West Main St. P.O. Box 217, Walnut Bottom, PA. 17266.
