Joe E. McCleary, 71, of Shippensburg, passed away Monday, May 14, 2018 at home.
Born March 10, 1947 in Newburg, PA. Joe was a son of the late Raymond E. and Dorothy Anna Bittinger McCleary.
He worked for West Pennsboro Twp., John W. Gleim Trucking, a Police Officer in Gary, IN and was a Security Guard for U.S. Securities. Joe was a member of the Minnequa Social Club in Shippensburg.
He is survived by his wife, Linda I. Lacko McCleary; a daughter, Karri Roark-Borders, of Crown Point, IN; two grandchildren, Taylor and Jake Borders of Crown Point, IN; five sisters, Betty J. Boyd of Shippensburg, Judith S. Derr of Carlisle, Joann Wolfe and Laura Fay Smith and her husband Bob, all of Hagerstown, MD and Beverly A. Nye and her husband Dennis of Shippensburg; a brother-in- law, Raymond Lacko and his wife Debbie of Hammond, IN; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Teresa McCleary.
