Jodi L. Carbaugh

Jodi L. Carbaugh, 66, of Shippensburg, passed away the evening of Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at the Laurel Lakes Rehabilitation & Wellness Center with her loving family by her side.

She was born on Wednesday, November 5, 1958 in Chambersburg, a daughter of the late Richard and Evelyn Everheart Straley. She married Steven P. “Steve” Carbaugh on July 29, 1978.

Jodi was a 1976 graduate of the Chambersburg High School and member of the Franklin County Nursing Association. She worked as a licensed practical nurse for the former Franklin County Nursing Home for 38 years, and two years when it became the Falling Spring Nursing Home. She loved coloring, gardening, and crocheting. Jodi had a love for the outdoors and enjoyed watching sunsets at the beach and sitting around the fire while camping. She was known to enjoy watching plays at Totem Pole Playhouse and loved Bruster’s Ice Cream. Above all else in life, Jodi loved her family dearly. 

In addition to her husband of 46 years, Steven P. Carbaugh of Shippensburg, she is survived by two children, Matthew (Janelle) Carbaugh of Shippensburg and Jessica (Courtney) White of Chambersburg; two grandchildren, Landon and Addison Carbaugh; and one brother, Michael Kytka of New York.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Eleanor and Lisa Kytka. 

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. The Mason Dixon Nurse Honor Guard will conduct honors at 6:45 p.m. Interment will be private.
