Joan E. Payne, 77, of Shippensburg, died Saturday, March 2, 2013 in the Chambersburg Hospital.
She was born March 8, 1935 in Brunswick, Frederick County, MD, she was a daughter of the late Alvey and Irene Waters Stouts. One daughter, Debbie Payne is also deceased.
She is survived by her husband, Daniel C. Payne; three sons, David Payne, Kenneth and his wife Bernice Payne all of Everett, and Jamie and his wife Christina Payne of Shippensburg; one daughter, Carol Ann Varner of Hagerstown, MD; one brother, Kenneth Stouts of Brunswick, MD; two sisters, Carol Zeiswiser of Middletown, MD, and Linda Simpson of Ranson, WV; a half sister, Nancy of Falling Waters, WV; twelve grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 8, 2013 in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home Inc., Shippensburg at 3 p.m. Officiating will be The Rev. Paul K. Hauk. Burial will be private. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the services Friday afternoon in the funeral home.
