Jerry R. “Butch” Myers, Jr., 51 of Ian Court, Shippensburg, died Friday, May 2, 2014 at his home.

Born Sunday, March 31, 1963 in Carlisle, he was a son of the late Jerry R., Sr. and Judith Ann Jones Myers.

Butch was a 1982 graduate of the Shippensburg Area Senior High School. He was presently employed at Dickinson College as a Kosher Chef with 25 years of service. He was of the Protestant Faith.

Surviving is his wife of 23 years, Penny Sue Ickes Myers, one son, Eric J. Myers and his fiancée Casey of Chambersburg, one daughter, Kelly A. Myers of Shippensburg, one sister, Janel Schwanger of Carlisle, one uncle & aunt Lee H. and Jeanette A. Laughlin of Newburg, brother in-law Robert “Melvin” McHenry of Shippensburg and sister in-law Lori Felts of Walnut Bottom.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. in Parklawns Memorial Gardens. A viewing will be held Monday, May 5th from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral home Inc., Shippensburg.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Kidney Fund, 6110 Executive Blvd. Suite 1010 Rockville, MD 20852.
