Jeffrey Lee Suders, 66, of Shippensburg, departed this life on the evening of Sunday, April 26, 2020 at Green Ridge Village, Newville.
He was born on April 1, 1954, in Shippensburg, a son of the late John M. and Martha S. (Whaler) Suders and married Sheila M. Ford on July 14, 1989, in Greencastle.
Jeff had a long career working as a baker, first at Terranetti’s Italian Bakery in Mechanicsburg and then at Martin’s Famous Pastry Shoppe in Chambersburg, for over twenty years. In his free time, Jeff enjoyed fishing and most importantly, spending time with his wife and family.
In addition to his wife of thirty years, Sheila, he is survived by his step-son, Chad A. Beidel of Fayetteville; two step-grandchildren, Cameron A. and Kailynn D. Beidel of Stoystown; two brothers, Robert R. Suders and wife Prudence of Carlisle, and James D. Suders and wife Patricia of Shippensburg, two sisters-in-law, Darlene Suders of Roxbury and Brenda Suders of Mercersburg; one brother-in-law, Charles “Ted” Helm of Mainsville; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Jeff was preceded in death by three siblings, John Suders, Jr., Lester E. Suders, and Kathleen M. Helm.
His funeral service will be held privately on Friday, May 1, 2020, at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg. Interment will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery. There will be a private viewing for his most immediate family and close friends.
