Jeffrey Ross Lyons, 36, of Shippensburg, departed this life on Monday, October 30, 2017.
He was born on November 29, 1980, in Carlisle, a son of Jerry S. and Susan McCleaf Lyons and was a 1999 graduate of Shippensburg Area High School.
Jeff worked for his father’s rental property business doing management and maintenance. He also worked at the H. Ric Luhrs Performing Arts Center, on the stage and tech crew, which he really enjoyed.
Jeff was a member of the Memorial Lutheran Church. He loved writing music and playing guitar. Jeff enjoyed watching documentaries and was an avid reader, spending quite a bit of time at the Shippensburg Public Library. He loved being an uncle and enjoyed the company of his cat, Tegan.
In addition to his parents, Jeff is survived by his brothers, Gregory Matthew Lyons and wife Tiffany of Raleigh, NC and Douglas Michael Lyons and wife April of Shippensburg; two nephews, Jackson and Carson; three nieces, Fiona, Adelyn, and Nora; his maternal grandfather, A. Fred McCleaf, Jr., of Waynesboro; two uncles, Fred S. “Tim” McCleaf of Waynesboro and Michael A. McCleaf of Arizona; one aunt, Linda Jean Lyons of Chantilly, VA; one cousin, Michael Howard Young of Shippensburg; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Howard William and Emma Katherine Lyons and his maternal grandmother, Nancy Lanehart McCleaf.
His memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m., on Saturday, December 2, 2017, at the Memorial Lutheran Church, Shippensburg. Rev. Dana Blouch-Hanson will officiate. Interment will be priivate. Visitation will be Saturday afternoon from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the church. The Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., has been entrusted with his funeral arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Shippensburg Public Library at 73 West King Street Shippensburg, PA 17257.
