Jean M. Watson, 86, of Shippensburg, passed away Monday, January 2, 2023 in the Shippensburg Health Care Center.
She was born Saturday, November 14, 1936 in Chambersburg, PA. Jean was a daughter of the late Harry L. and Mary Viola Reed Shughart.
She was a member of the Cleversburg United Methodist Church. Jean retired from Weis Markets.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas E. Watson, Jr. who passed away May 30, 1995. A son, Thomas Eugene Watson, two daughters in law, Roxanne Watson and Kathy Watson, two brothers and six sisters are also deceased.
Jean is survived by two children, Ron E. Watson and his wife, Marea of Newburg, and Daryl L. Watson and his wife, Wonda of Shippensburg, her companion of over 20 years, James Warren of Shippensburg, eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held Monday, January 9, 2023 in the Parklawns Memorial Gardens at 11:00 a.m. Officiating will be The Rev. Jan Bye-Dickerson. There will be no viewing or visitation.
