Jean C. Warren, 88, a resident of Magnolias of Chambersburg, departed this life on the morning of Wednesday, June 26, 2024.
She was born on August 11, 1935, in Shippensburg, a daughter of the late Hiram and Ethel (Guyer) Highlands. Jean married William L. Warren, Sr., on July 15, 1954. He preceded her in death on October 1, 2000.
Early in life, Jean was a homemaker. After raising her children, she worked as a secretary at the Shippensburg State Teachers College, retiring in 1987. Jean was a member of Gideons International and enjoyed painting in her free time.
She is survived by three children, David A. Warren and wife Crystal of Tennessee, William L. Warren, Jr., and wife Lisa of Shippensburg, and Suzie J. Kendig and husband Gary of Shippensburg; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and her twin sister, Joan Anderson and husband John of Lancaster.
In addition to her biological parents and husband, Jean was preceded in death by her step-mother, Daisy (Stine) Highlands.
Her funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg. There will be no public viewing, visitation, or funeral service. She will be laid to rest alongside her husband in the Lurgan Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gideons International.
