Jean S. Greenwood, 84, of Chambersburg, passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2017 in the Chambersburg Hospital.
She was born November 20, 1933 in Leesburg, PA. Jean was a daughter of the late James G. and Dorothy B. Hoffman Swanger.
She was a member of the Leesburg United Methodist Church. Jean worked for the A&P Grocery Store in both Shippensburg and Chambersburg. Years ago she worked at C.H. Masland and Sons, Carlisle. Jean was a 1952 graduate of the former Shippensburg High School and was a member of the First Court Chapter #470 E.O.S., Shippensburg.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul E. Greenwood whom she married November 14, 1953 and passed away August 14, 2016. A sister, Vera Brandt is also deceased.
Jean is survived by one daughter, Lori A. (Gary) Stinger and one step grandson, Cody Stinger all of Chambersburg.
Graveside services will be held Sunday, December 10, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Shippensburg. Officiating will be Pastor Brian Markle.
