Jean W. Eyer, 86, of Orrstown, departed this life on the morning of Friday, December 18, 2015, at her home.
She was born on July 12, 1929, in Lurgan, a daughter of the late Stewart and Estella Hale Kohr. Jean was a 1947 graduate of Shippensburg High School and shortly thereafter, married Harry M. Eyer on November 11, 1949, at her parent’s home.

(Annette) Eyer of Mechanicsburg; her daughter, Jennie L. (Ronald) DeShong of Newburg; one sister, Gail Johnson of Ashland, OR; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by one sister, Levon Sixeas and one brother, Lee Kohr.
Private graveside services will be held at a future date and time, in the Methodist Cemetery, Upper Strasburg. There will be no public viewing or visitation. The Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Inc., Shippensburg, has been entrusted with her funeral arrangements.
