Jay Lee Pyne, 72, of Newburg, departed this life, after a year-long battle with pancreatic cancer, on the morning of Wednesday, April 4, 2018, at his home, with his family by his side.

After working on his family’s farm as a child, Jay became a bricklayer in his early years. He, along with his wife working side-by-side, built several of their home’s together. Later in life, Jay worked in maintenance for the PA Turnpike, at the Carlisle Interchange, for thirty-three years, retiring in 2013, at age 67.

You could also find him in the morning at many of the local area restaurants having breakfast with friends and strangers alike. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time at the family’s hunting cabin with everyone. Jay also enjoyed the many vacations to the Outer Banks with his entire family.
In addition to his wife of fifty-four years, Dottie; three sons, Jeffery L. (Christine) Pyne, Timothy J. (Yvonne) Pyne, and Jamie L.
