Jay “Randy” Clouse, 60, of Dry Run, departed this life on the evening of Wednesday, March 13, 2024.
He was born on July 23, 1963, in Carlisle, a son of Jay and Loretta (Mellinger) Clouse. Randy was a 1981 graduate of Shippensburg Senior High School. He married Nancy S. Clark, in Shippensburg.
Randy was a mechanist by trade, last employed at Mack Trucks, Inc., Hagerstown. Earlier in life he worked at the former Hoffman-Mills and the Beistle Co, both of Shippensburg. Randy was a member of the James W. McCartney American Legion Post #232, Dry Run, and University of Pittsburgh Chapter of the Delta Chi Fraternity.
Randy enjoyed being active and outdoors. Throughout his life he enjoyed hunting, camping, gardening, and bowling, but his main hobby in recent years became fishing. Randy was a fan of Philadelphia sports and he liked to do all kinds of handy work around his home. He loved spending time with his family and was well known as the best wing maker and all around master of the grill.
In addition to his wife of twenty-five years, Nancy, he is survived by four children, Travis Clouse and wife Jessica of Mechanicsburg, Miranda Clouse of Shippensburg, Joshua Yetter Clark of Lewistown, and Daniel Yetter of Lewistown; six grandchildren; four siblings, Sheryl Chilcote of Shippensburg, Greg Clouse of Michigan, Deb Gephart of Shippensburg, and Tammy Killian of Shippensburg; and many nieces and nephews.
The Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg, has been entrusted with his funeral arrangements. A viewing will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at the funeral home. A celebration of Randy’s life will be planned for a future date and time, most likely at some point during the summer months.
