Janette E. Wyrick, 88, of Shippensburg, died Wednesday, December 7, 2011 in the Chambersburg Hospital.
Born February 24, 1923 in Newburg, she was a daughter of the late Roy V. and Leona Mabel Parson Speck.
She was a member of the Shippensburg First Church of God and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Oscar M. Hykes American Legion Post # 223 in Shippensburg. Janette worked at the Penn Pants Factory in Shippensburg and then worked at the Stanley Company in Chambersburg.
She is survived by a son, Rick W. Wyrick of Shippensburg, two great granddaughters, Brooke and Amber Klinger of Millerstown, and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow W. “Woody” Wyrick who died December 25, 2001, a granddaughter, Melissa Klinger, and two brothers, Leroy “Skip” Speck and John A. Speck are also deceased.
Funeral services will be held Monday, December 12, 2011 in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home Inc., Shippensburg at 10:30 a.m. Officiating will be The Rev. Paul K. Hauk. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the services in the funeral home.
